Upon my recent trip to Germany, I walked the cobbled streets of Dinkelsbühl, the setting for my most recent novella, Where Angels Camp from the German Enchantment collection. Please join me and I will take you on a tour. |

![]() First you must pass through the Tor (gate) that played a major role in the story. |
![]() The medieval wall still stands today. Its towers are so romantic. Can't you just picture Christian (hero) and Amelia (heroine) in such a setting? You can also see the moat. |
|
![]() This house, which is actually built into the wall, typifies the armorer's shop and home. |
![]() Dinkelsbühl's buildings are so colorful. My brother Bruce is with me at this café. I imagine it could be the very one in Gail Gaymer Martin's Once a Stranger, the concluding novella in German Enchantment. |

While in Germany, I also did research for the manuscript I am presently working on: Thy Brother's Keeper, which will be a sequel to Keeper of Hearts. I enjoyed exploring old castles and the city where my ancestors lived-Koblenz. The castle in Thy Brother's Keeper will top a hill in this vicinity where the rivers run through lush terraced vineyards. The story is already plotted on notecards and most of my research materials are collected. Now I will spend the next several months at the computer, bringing it to life. |
Some quotes regarding Storm I loved it that Meredith was so excessively concerned over her hats, yet when her editor sent her money to buy a new one, she fumed over his assumption that she was "shallow." How like us ladies to react that way! What I enjoyed most about your novel was your strong sense of scene. It made the story move quicky and purposefully. I read it in one sitting .Shawnee Fleenor, newspaper magazine writer
.You've
written a story you can be proud of Dianne. I loved the twists and plot
turns, excellent characterization and depth of underlying message. I'm
simply not into fluff
..There's a sequel to my praise. My attorney
niece Julie has never been into romantic novels
She loved Storm
and commented, "The author not only had a great plot, she's an excellent
writer."
